Network Deploy Technician , Global Network Delivery

Summary: Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The Network Deploy Technician will work to ensure the stability and sustainability of next-generation networks while assisting in the development of automation strategies. Responsibilities include managing customer requests, troubleshooting network issues, and collaborating with stakeholders for project execution. Responsibilities: - Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects - Collaboration with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles - Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low level application interaction - Up to 20% travel within geographical work area is required. Some travel outside traditional work area may be requested, including internationally - Troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords - Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment - Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware Required Qualifications: - High school or equivalent diploma - 1+ year or experience in any of the following IT roles: Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, Technical Project Management - Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds - Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after-hours support as needed - Working in cramped and/or elevated and/or noisy environments - Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day - Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation - Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects - Collaboration with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles - Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low level application interaction - Up to 20% travel within geographical work area is required.
