Network Deploy Technician , Global Network Delivery

Summary: Amazon is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join their growing team within infrastructure operations. The role involves driving the stability and sustainability of next-generation networks and assisting in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale the network, while collaborating with internal customers and external vendors. Responsibilities: - Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects - Collaboration with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles - Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low level application interaction - Up to 20% travel within geographical work area is required. Some travel outside traditional work area may be requested, including internationally - Troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords - Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment - Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware Required Qualifications: - High school or equivalent diploma - 1+ year or experience in any of the following IT roles: Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, Technical Project Management Preferred Qualifications: - Data center experience Industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+) - Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment - Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR and power meters - Understanding of infrastructure technologies, including Routers, Switches, Load Balancers and Firewalls - Knowledge of major Command Line Protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common Networking Protocols (BGP, OSPF) Required Skills: Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, Technical Project Management, CompTIA Certification, CCENT Certification, Network+ Certification, Network Cabling, Optic Types, Network Test Equipment, Visual Fault Locator (VFL), Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR), Power Meters, Routers, Switches, Load Balancers, Firewalls, Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux, BGP, OSPF Benefits: Starting Day 1 of employment, Amazon offers EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, 401(k) matching, Learn more about our benefits at
