Job Description
Summary: Woot.com LLC, a subsidiary of Amazon, is seeking an Associate Vendor Manager to enhance their Home & Tools Teams. This role involves sourcing inventory, managing product listings, and collaborating with various teams to optimize the customer shopping experience and drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Drive demand generation and revenue growth by sourcing high-velocity deal items and promotional products that create customer excitement and urgency, while strategically building and maintaining a diversified portfolio of vendor partnerships that deliver sustainable long-term growth opportunities and competitive advantages
- Partner with Customer Service teams to optimize product content quality, ensuring product listings, descriptions, and specifications are accurate, comprehensive, and customer-focused to minimize returns, reduce customer friction, and enhance the overall shopping experience
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Vendor Managers and Marketing teams to develop and execute special projects, promotional campaigns, and strategic sales initiatives that drive revenue growth, enhance vendor partnerships, and maximize market opportunities through coordinated planning and execution
- Manage inventory operations and supply chain logistics, including monitoring stock levels, coordinating with vendors for timely replenishment, maintaining accurate inventory records in management systems, while minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience using Excel and other business analytic tools
- Experience writing and building merchandising content
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
- Experience in balancing conflicting priorities dealing with ambiguity
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with software and editing tools (including HTML, Excel and SQL)
- 2+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc
- Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices
- Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences
