Summary: Alpine Physician Partners is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their team at Colorado Physician Partners. This role involves providing exceptional patient care and support during medical visits, while ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for patients. Responsibilities: - Prepare for Patient Visits: Review and update patient records before face-to-face or Telehealth appointments, ensuring all recent test results and correspondence are up-to-date - Maintain Exam Rooms: Clean and stock exam rooms between patient visits, adhering to infection control standards - Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for their visit and notify the physician or mid-level provider when they are ready to be seen - Initial Medical Screening: Greet patients, take vital signs, and document basic medical history accurately - Assist During Exams: Support physicians or mid-level providers during patient examinations - Efficient Use of Time: Restock supplies, check inventory, and keep all areas clean and orderly Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED required - Current, valid CPR certification - Excellent ability to take medical histories, understand instructions, and document information accurately - High degree of diplomacy and tact - Beginner to intermediate computing and phone skills - Willingness to adapt to various job duties and cross-train within other departments - Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment - Experience working with diverse populations - Knowledge of 'Universal Precautions' and adherence to HIPAA standards Preferred Qualifications: - Current, valid Certification of Medical Assistant, preferred - Bilingual in English/Spanish or other languages is a plus - Valid State Driver's License preferred Required Skills: Medical History Documentation, Vital Signs Measurement, Infection Control, HIPAA Compliance, Computing Skills, Phone Skills, Medical Assistant Certification, CPR Certification, Diplomacy, Multi-tasking, Cultural Sensitivity, Bilingual English/Spanish
