Overview
The Head of Staffing is accountable for high-level relations all staffing clients, including overall client satisfaction and management of expectations while ensuring that work is on strategy, on time and within budget.
Inspire the staffing team to deliver "best in class" and ensure the highest quality of field staff are being utilised across all campaigns as well as applying appropriate management for the start - finish of each campaign so that Kreate is recognised as the ‘staffing agency’ of choice by field staff.
Responsibilities
Department Leadership:
- Day to day management of the Staffing business reporting into the leadership team
- Lead the strategy and staffing department focus based upon workload and business need
- Review and ensure the Staffing agency is working efficiently - implement appropriate working practises and processes based on the commercial needs of the business
- Responsible for the training and development of the internal Staffing team, including appraisals and setting objectives in line with agency guidelines
- Inspire the team for "best in class" - ensuring the highest quality of field staff are being utilised across all campaigns as well as applying appropriate management for the start - finish of each campaign
- Evaluate overall business performance to determine if training or new practises and or processes should be implemented to improve performance and/or productivity
Business Development:
- Work with the leadership team to develop the staffing agency business proposition and strategy
- Lead the development and production of appropriate staffing credentials
- Produce appropriate credentials or bespoke presentations for any associated new business or client meetings for staffing opportunities
- Work alongside business leaders and/or lead meetings with prospective clients to deliver business pitches for staffing clients
- Represent the Staffing division for any pitches that are in collaboration with the wider business (if required)
- Lead follow up comms with prospective clients following new business pitch/meeting to drive opportunities – to be revisited on an ongoing basis
- Produce competitive budgets for the purpose of new business or client growth opportunities that remain in line with the commercial expectations of the business
- Maintain regular contact with existing clients ensuring business is retained
- Identify additional business opportunities with current clients and build / drive forward
- Utilise staffing team to ensure business is abreast of any client’s needs and marketplace
Finance:
- Lead and manage the staffing agency forecast as well as the commercial aspects of the division. Taking accountability and providing status updates to the leadership team on a regular basis.
- Produce (or sign off dependent on Staffing Manager’s level) staffing campaign budgets
- Oversee the management of staffing campaign budgets to ensure highly profitable outcomes
- Lead and manage agency payroll process (monthly basis)
Client / Account Management:
- Key point of contact for staffing agency clients; forging close relationships with new and existing clients
- Lead planning meetings with clients for forthcoming staffing campaigns, advising on necessary staffing solutions and appropriate evaluation methods
- Ensure business is successfully delivering project briefs, timings and KPI’s – mentor the wider staffing team accordingly
- Ensure outstanding client servicing across all clients, ensure expectations are exceeded
- Assign client requests to wider team to action, ensure dealt with competently
- Oversee the structure and content of any staff training sessions and provide guidance to the wider team as / when appropriate to ensure field teams are trained appropriately
- Mentor the wider staffing team to implement and lead staff training sessions
- Lead the team to collate results and effectively evaluate campaigns and share with client in an appropriate format
- Oversee the relationships with core suppliers and/or lead (when appropriate) to ensure receiving the best service / price
Field Team Management:
- Oversee the development and management of the database (in accordance with agency needs)
- Assess and implement appropriate working practises to ensure high quality recruitment as well as efficiencies
- Set and manage the recruitment plans and associated costs for approval
- Oversee recruitment stats to assess success
- Oversee the strategy and content of any bespoke casting days
- Ad-hoc review of the staff selection process to ensure high-quality candidates are being brought onto database
- Advise the wider team re: bespoke incentive programs for field staff
- Ensure compliance and records are maintained for field staff such as Proof of Right to Work verifications and other requirements concerning UK Employment Law
- Lead or provide advice and support to the wider staffing team on a range of payroll queries or performance management matters
Qualifications
Very strong experience MS Office365 including MS Teams, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Familiarity with staffing platforms - StaffWise preferred
Previous experience with financial systems
Strong planning and organisation skills
Used to taking accountability and ownership, ensuring delivery of work against specific standards and expectations.
