Security Professional - STL Transit

The Security Professional will ensure the safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system and provide customer service by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols. Responsibilities: - Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols at a government location - Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to post instructions - Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify security-related concerns - Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas, documenting conditions and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate - Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations, restricted access procedures, and other security-related duties based on location needs Required Qualifications: - 1 year Security Experience - Computer Literacy - Be at least 21 years of age - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only Preferred Qualifications: - Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds - Access control and badge experience - Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton Required Skills: Security Experience, Computer Literacy, Access Control, Badge Management, Use of Handcuffs, Use of Pepper Spray, Use of Baton, Emergency Response, Patrolling, Incident Reporting, Customer Service, Calmness under Pressure Benefits: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more., Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities., Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance., Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.
