Job Description

The Security Officer - Part Time Safety Hospital role in Delray Beach, FL, is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site while allowing flexibility for additional shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to patients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas, assisting with access control, visitor direction, and/or general support for daily site operations
- Support healthcare location protocols by observing patient and visitor activity, communicating clearly with staff, and/or helping with orderly responses to medical, behavioral, and facility-related situations
Required Qualifications:
- Must be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements
- Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue
- Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting, as required
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
