Job Description
Summary: Allied Universal is North America’s leading security and facility services company, and they are seeking a Lobby Supervisor to oversee a Corporate Building located near Times Square, Manhattan. The Lobby Supervisor will manage lobby receptionist personnel and ensure security access control measures for multiple sites while providing excellent customer service and support to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services to the client. Act as a liaison between customer, Account Manager, and lobby receptionists; supervise lobby staff, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved empowerment range
- Supervise day-do-day operations at the site for Lobbies, Badge & ID, Visitor Centers, and Large Events
- Enforce Allied Universal policies as outlined in the handbooks and executive memos
- Assist the Account Manager in identifying, meeting, and exceeding the needs of the customer
- Meet all contractual scheduled hours with a minimum of unbilled overtime
- Coordinate and/or conduct site-specific on-the-job training (OJT), client specific training, and annual refresher training for lobby personnel
- Manage uniforms, equipment, supplies, and vehicles utilized at the account, maintaining appropriate inventories and maintenance checklists
- Communicate staffing needs to the Account Manager or to recruiters via Requisition Form, assisting in identifying and interviewing quality candidates
- Assure that lobby personnel receive appropriate training, developing them in both technical and professional skills; also includes performance management (coaching, counseling, disciplining, performance evaluations, recognition, etc.)
- Assist with the communication of policies, company announcements and job openings
- Perform other operations and related functions (e.g., payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)
- Respond to client requests
- Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
- Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding the performance of their duties
- Disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel
- Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
- Make recommendations for physical security surveys, job safety analysis and post orders
- Make recommendations concerning disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- Must possess, or be able to obtain, a SECRET clearance with the Department of Defense
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in security, law enforcement or military service
- Must possess one or more of the following: Service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard; Service in Auxiliary Police or Police Cadets; Minimum of one year verifiable and successful supervisory experience in security-related industry
- Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors

Preferred Qualifications:
- Possession of one or more of the following: Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone; Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field; Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies; A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch; Associate's degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
