Legislative Intern (Volunteer)

Summary: The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL) is a nonpartisan coalition uniting young professionals and foreign policy experts to strengthen U.S. global leadership. The Legislative Intern will assist in legislative research, monitor legislative developments, prepare policy briefs, and analyze legislation relevant to the organization's mission. Responsibilities: - Assist in legislative research - Monitor legislative developments - Prepare policy briefs - Analyze legislation relevant to the organization's mission - Support advocacy initiatives - Collaborate with the team on projects that drive awareness and policy change Required Qualifications: - Understanding of Legislative Issues and Legislative Affairs - Experience with Legislative Research and knowledge of Legislation - Strong Analytical Skills, including the ability to evaluate and synthesize complex information - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting Preferred Qualifications: - Interest or background in foreign policy, government, or international development - Currently pursuing or having completed a degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, or a related field Required Skills: Legislative Research, Legislative Issues, Legislation, Foreign Policy, Government, International Development, Analytical Skills
