Underwriter I, Professional Liability/Cyber, Financial Lines

Summary: AIG is a global leader in commercial and personal insurance solutions, and they are seeking an Underwriter I for their Professional Liability/Cyber division. This role will focus on underwriting new and renewal business, assessing risks, and building relationships with brokers to drive profitable growth. Responsibilities: - This role will focus on underwriting new and renewal business to help drive the profitable growth of our Professional Liability / Cyber product - You will be responsible for assessing the desirability of risk through regular contact with brokers, close co-ordination with AIG subject matter experts and robust reviews of claims history and general company information - Your relationships with brokers will be key to your success - You will need to provide excellent service to brokers through a consistent, timely, and proactive approach to underwriting - You will also aim to generate new business by expanding your broker network, attending broker events, and building new relationships across the market – in line with a sales plan established with your manager - Another key aspect of the role is the provision of accurate monthly management information including submissions, bind rate, average premium, and total premium Required Qualifications: - Underwriting experience is preferred; however, you are welcome to apply if you have other relevant professional experience - The ability to analyze financial statements - Strong communication, networking and relationship building skills - Good organizational and time management skills - Customer and Sales orientated behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable Required Skills: Underwriting, Financial Statement Analysis, Professional Liability Insurance, Cyber Insurance, Networking, Customer Orientation, Sales Orientation, Tenacity Benefits: A range of competitive benefits, Total Rewards Program, Benefits focused on your health, wellbeing and financial security, Professional development
