How you will create an impact
We are seeking a Governance Associate to support our DUA and Product Governance Framework’s. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting governance activities, including maintenance of Inventory to ensure accurate tracking and monitoring for compliance assurance, and governance activities. This includes ensuring all periodic reviews are completed on time while collaborating with various functions across the business, working closely with not only product owners but also function heads such as Legal, Compliance and Risk. The role is wide ranging and will expose you to many facets of AIG’s operations and professionals gaining a wide range of skills that will propel your career.
Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:
- Support and administer DUA and Product Governance Frameworks for both Australia and New Zealand, ensuring compliance, effective implementation and continuous improvement across all areas of the business.
- Act as a point of contact for key governance activities
- Take minutes during key stakeholder meetings
- Document processes in line with governance frameworks
- Keep accurate inventory management of caseloads
- Provide product centres and DUA's reminders on governance standards & requirements
- Support to the Governance Team on various programmes of work
What you’ll need to succeed
- A background in general insurance
- Demonstrated organisational skills
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Professional experience working well with other teams to successfully achieve goals
- Proven ability to prioritize work streams and respond promptly in an appropriate manner
- Demonstrated success anticipating internal client needs and act proactively
- Proven ability to identify problems and deliver appropriate solutions
- Organisation skills combined with excellent communications skills.
- Foundational knowledge of project management principals, with a willingness to support planning, coordination, and delivery of projects.
