Semi-skilled Mechanical Workshop Engineer
Location: Dumbarton, UK
Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Semi – Skilled Mechanical Workshop Engineer based in our Service & Repair team in our Lomondgate depot. As a Semi- Skilled Mechanical Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out hands-on servicing, maintenance, repairs, and fault finding, while also getting involved in basic installation and commissioning.

What you’ll do as a Semi- Skilled Mechanical Workshop Engineer:
Carry out fault finding, repairs, and load testing on diesel generators (20–2000kVA), including major engine overhauls
Assess equipment condition on return from hire, completing upgrades, modifications, and improvements to maintain fleet quality
Work across AC/DC electrical systems, supporting diagnostics, ECM programming, and control module configuration
You are:
Educated to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering/mechanical subject
Experience servicing, repairing large engines (generators, HGV, plant equipment, agricultural machinery)
Good organisational & communication skills
Good level of PC literacy including basic MS Office applications
Well organised and capable of keeping vehicle to GSCS standards
