Job Description
Summary: Advance Finish Corp (AFC) is seeking a reliable Procurement & Inventory Coordinator to support their purchasing and inventory management processes. The role involves creating and tracking purchase orders, managing shipping and receiving activities, and ensuring office supplies are well-stocked and organized.
Responsibilities:
- Create and track purchase orders; place orders with approved vendors
- Compare pricing/availability and help source items when needed
- Follow up on backorders, lead times, and delivery status
- Maintain purchasing records, invoices, packing slips, and receipts
- Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries (match packing slips to orders)
- Label, organize, and distribute incoming materials to the correct area
- Prepare outgoing shipments as needed (pack, label, coordinate pickups)
- Keep shipping/receiving areas organized and accurate
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and restock levels
- Organize inventory locations and help keep items clearly labeled
- Support cycle counts and basic inventory reporting
- Ensure the office/kitchen/restrooms stay stocked (paper goods, drinks, cleaning supplies, etc.)
- Light cleanup and tidying around the office/common areas (as needed)
- Keep supply areas neat and “audit-ready” (organized, stocked, labeled)
- Support administrative tasks and assist the team with misc. requests
- Take initiative: notice gaps, fix small issues, and communicate needs proactively
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable with computers and learning new systems (email, spreadsheets, web portals)
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Able to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Occasionally to lift and move boxes
- Standing/walking as needed; working in a shop/warehouse/office setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year experience in purchasing, inventory, shipping/receiving, or office operations
