The role supports the Superintending Officer (SO) in remediation contract administration for land decontamination/ clean-up projects.
Act as one of the main liaisons between Client and Contractor, work alongside Project Manager to inspect and monitor contractor’s work progress.
Gather information and analyze outputs from contractor’s work performance (e.g., soil and groundwater treatment works, excavations, soil and groundwater sampling, environmental monitoring and management etc.).
Conduct validation reviews of contractor’s deliverables against technical and contractual requirements.
Support in project risk identification and mitigation, dealing with disputes on matters related to contracts, with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Handle contractual matters including Extension of Time (EOT), loss and expense claims, and dispute resolution to mitigate project risks.
As and when required, support in field sampling of environmental media (e.g., soil, water, air) as part of environmental site assessments.
Prepare weekly summary reports, official letters/ correspondences, meeting minutes etc.
Support in technical report writing, prepare figures, illustrations, presentation slides, a part of the deliverables.
qualifications
Diploma, Specialist Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related fields.
Up to 3 years of work experience in construction site supervision, civil infrastructure or building development management.
Demonstrated experience in managing subcontractors and resolving site and civil works related issues.
Demonstrated experience delivering projects under PSSCOC or similar forms of contract is desirable.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; aptitude to think critically.
Possesses strong growth mind-set, self-motivated to grow and learn new skills and knowledge.
Keen to work in a team as supportive team member, as well as ability to work under limited supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
