Acumen Pakistan is looking for an exceptional individual to lead and grow Acumen Academy's work in Pakistan. The ideal candidate must have at least 14 years of experience in social entrepreneurship, enterprise incubation or acceleration and/or executive leadership development. The role will report to the Global Head of Acumen Academy. The role will be based out of Islamabad

In Pakistan, The Foundry consists of more than 200 Fellows, including many of the most notable social enterprises in the country: Amal Academy, Taleemabad and Sehat Kehani.
About the Role
We recently completed a global strategic reset and are seeking an exceptional leader to drive and lead this new strategy at Acumen Academy Pakistan, overseeing two programs: The Acumen Fellowship and The Foundry. This role includes working directly with our Fellows, our global team, and external partners and Funders. You will lead a team based in Islamabad and report directly to global head of Acumen Academy.
Specific accountabilities will include:
Build Acumen Academy Pakistan
- Implement new strategic direction focused on identifying and accompanying exemplary leaders building scalable solutions to the problems of poverty
- Maintain existing partnerships and build new partnerships and funding support for flagship program and new initiatives
- Champion and reinforce the Acumen Academy brand in Pakistan in collaboration with global communications team
- Lead the team, annual planning, and budgeting in partnership with the global colleagues.
- Support engagement of partners/prospects locally by managing grant reporting calendar; drafting reports for funders; writing quarterly partner updates; creating presentations for pitches to prospective funders
- Establish a strong community of supporters and Advisors who can provide you – and the Foundry – with ongoing support
Oversee Acumen Fellowship Program Delivery:
- Oversee recruitment and selection for the Pakistan Fellowship, and make data-driven decisions to improve the selection process
- Oversee the program operations including logistics, and coordination and cultivation of a strong facilitator bench.
- Coach Fellows: provide feedback when sought; periodically conduct 1-on-1s with Fellows as required; and provide written evaluations over the course of the year.
- Participate in the Fellowship experience, including directly facilitating specific content modules
Oversee Foundry Program Delivery:
- In partnership with the Foundry Lead and the Global team, define the PK Foundry strategy and oversee its execution
- Oversee development and rollout of programs and initiatives that will scale the impact of Foundry Members
- Support the global team in identifying and accompanying the Foundry members for internal and external opportunities
- Collaborate with the global team to measure the impact of Foundry in Pakistan and ensure that the data is collected and reported
Qualifications and Skills
- Atleast 14 years of work experience in a related field, preferably in social enterprise, incubation and acceleration and/or leadership development
- Experience as an entrepreneur – or guiding/coaching – entrepreneurs
- Experience in fundraising for new ventures
- A strong track record of managing stakeholders, and building relationships with teams and partners.
- Experience managing a team (structuring the work, prioritizing, assigning, delegating, tracking results and team morale, and executing yourself when required) and managing stakeholders in a collaborative fashion
- Strong operations track record and ability to achieve targets independently.
- Can prioritize effectively and is detail-oriented.
- Prior work experience in a fast-paced environment, ability to work efficiently against tight deadlines
- A graduate/master’s degree in a related field (for example: business management, leadership, etc.)
- Strong verbal & written communications skills, and comfort representing Acumen Academy initiatives externally
- Willingness and availability to work across time zones and travel within Pakistan
