Supply Chain Process Intern (Summer 2026)

Summary: Ace Hardware Corporation is a leading retailer-owned hardware cooperative, committed to innovation and excellence. The Supply Chain Process Intern will play a key role in shaping the future of AI-driven inventory management and logistics processes in U.S. warehouses. Responsibilities: - Map and document workflows for resolving inventory discrepancies across multiple systems - Design the framework for AI logic to streamline discrepancy resolution - Analyze bin check audit processes and propose data-driven sampling strategies - Build cost models to maximize inventory accuracy at minimal operational cost - Evaluate inventory reporting sources and recommend speed and accuracy improvements - Define process integration for 3-way match (PO, ASN, Invoice) in inbound operations - Potential regional travel to 1–2 warehouses for hands-on experience along with a trip to our corporate headquarters in Oak Brook, IL Required Qualifications: - Analytical thinkers with a passion for solving complex problems - Excellent communicators who can translate data into insights - Curious innovators eager to explore AI-driven process optimization - Big-picture thinkers who understand systems and integration - Interested in warehouse operations and cutting-edge tech - Excited to experiment with early-stage AI applications - Class of 2027 or 2028 graduates - Available full-time (40 hrs/week, Monday – Friday) for 12 weeks (Mid-May to Early/Mid-August 2026) Required Skills: AI-driven process optimization, Inventory management, Workflow mapping, Data analysis, Cost modeling, Process integration, Manhattan WMS, SAP ERP, PowerBI, Analytical thinking, Curiosity, Big-picture thinking Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer
