The Public Service (PS) team is one of the industry programs within Accenture’s Capability Network, under Accenture Strategy & Consulting. Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Consultant in GEE, you will be working in public-sector with IT consulting, Policy understanding, Digital Transformation, Process Improvement methodologies, and stakeholder management to help clients modernize their operations and deliver better outcomes.
Consulting & Advisory: Provide strategic IT consulting services to government agencies aimed at improving efficiency, transparency, and service delivery.
Process Optimization: Apply Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or ITIL methodologies to streamline workflows and assess existing technological infrastructure, workflows, and policies to identify inefficiencies.
Technology Implementation: Lead projects involving cloud migration, cybersecurity, data integration, and AI-driven analytics.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government agencies, and vendors to ensure smooth adoption of solutions with policy objectives and compliance requirements.
Efficient Performance Monitoring: Develop KPIs, dashboards, and reporting systems to track efficiency gains. Deliver measurable improvements in cost-effectiveness, citizen experience, and operational performance.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to government regulations, data privacy, and audit standards.
Qualifications
Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree completed in IT, Computer Science, Public Administration, or related fields;
MBA is highly desirable
Mandatory: Advanced level of English
Availability to travel may be required.
Experience Requirements
4–7 years of experience, with a strong track record in public service and IT Consulting.
Exposure to Public Services with understanding of government operations and policy frameworks.
Usage of IT consulting and enterprise architecture in public sector.
Data analytics and visualization (PowerBI/Tableau or SAS)
Project management (PMP/PRINCE2 or Agile certifications) will be an advantage.
Industry/Functional Skills
Deep understanding of public service with IT Consulting.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Government Domain Knowledge and Familiarity with public sector workflows, procurement processes, and compliance standards.
Digital Governance Expertise with e-governance platforms, ERP systems, and citizen service portals will be an advantage.
Proven track record in Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or continuous improvement frameworks.
Budget & Resource Management ability to optimize IT spending and ensure ROI for government projects.
Cybersecurity & Data Privacy understanding for secure IT practices to manage sensitive government data.
Knowledge of audit processes and regulatory requirements.
Strong leadership capabilities with ability to drive client results.
Skilled communicator, able to deliver client-ready presentations.
Analytical thinker with ability to break down complex challenges.
Team-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable to multicultural environments.
