A Finance and Accounting (F&A) management process which involves collecting, processing and delivering relevant, timely and accurate information used for providing strategic, financial and operational feedback to understand how a business is performing. It covers the steps involved in preparing and reporting the overall accounts which are typically stored in a general or nominal ledger and managed by a Controller.
What are we looking for? • Strong domain knowledge –Extensive work experience in Record to Report - Finance & Accounting Processes in Transformational Consultant roles. 10-12 years of experience in Record to Report processes is a must
• Exceptional conversational skills in English, ability to interact with both external and internal stakeholder, and extensive project management skills in driving RtR transformation among all stakeholders
• Handle client conversations with senior stakeholders from Fortune 500 clients on topics around F&A Benchmarking, latest trends in the industry, Maturity Road Maps etc
• Strong decision-making skills, can-do attitude and ability to work with ambiguity
• Ability to partner with Clients to identify opportunities impacting Business Metrics
• Excellent Data Interpretation Skills and Strong Story Telling Skills around the Data
• Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
• Advanced MS-excel skills including formula, pivots, look-ups, statistical inferences
• Hands on experience on two or more ERPs and consolidation systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE, Workday, Hyperion, Cadency, Blackline etc.) – preferably with data entry and extraction processes
• Excellent analytical skills
• Highly evolved presentation, documentation and spreadsheet skills
• Hands-On experience on any of the analytical tools (‘R’, Tableau, PowerBI etc.)
• Great conversational and story-telling skills
• Self-motivated individual – willing to also work in individual contributor roles
• Ability to work in an ambiguous work environment

Roles and Responsibilities: • Is a strong “Subject Matter Expert” in “Record to Report Process”. Experience in processing and analyzing Journal entry, Reconciliations, Fixed Assets, Inter-Company and Month-close activities
• Consolidate big data, analyze, resolve data gaps, infer key insights, prepare recommendations, presentation to stakeholders and managing end-to-end project governance
• Interact effectively with both external and internal stakeholders, as well as other parties involved in analytics engagement
• Conceptualize and define RtR - F&A metrics relevant to the engagements & take complete ownership for driving them
• Oversee the development of such metrics (targeted business outcomes achieved)- by providing guidance and feedback to the operations team
• Anchor key discussions with the clients around F&A Processes, ERP gaps etc
• Conduct training to end user training on F&A Analytical Solutions
• Ensures compliance with data security, governance model and solutions deployed
• Build long-term relationship with stakeholders, handle and sort out major customer escalations in order to ensure strong customer relationships and enhance business
• Act as an Advisory in Record to Report domain for clients and stakeholders, across the industries (e.g., Resources, Products, CPG, Retail, Financial Services, Hospitality, Logistics & Supply chain, etc.)
• Carry out in-depth process analysis to identify areas of improvement in RtR processes across Process, Policy, People & Platforms. Recommend solutions leveraging analytics and take client approvals to deploy the assets/solutions
• Carry responsibilities for creating superior customer value for clients across industries by designing and implementing business process solutions and contributing to every phase of the engagement – right from problem definition and diagnosis to solution generation, design, development of Apps (where applicable), deployment of the App, realization of value, and client sign-off
• ‘Run’ the solution through the duration of contract and where applicable, support Process transformation and value tracking
• RtR process consultants (SME) must engage with clients at every phase and be able to support change management in client organizations
