Turbocharger Technician
Job Description:
Turbocharger Technician positions offered by Accelleron US Inc. (Deer Park, Texas). Perform Service tasks, identify technical problems and make analysis through remote or on-site activity in any Service category (installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades and retrofits, end of life services and replacements of a variety of turbochargers for commercial applications). Contribute to customer satisfaction by executing Service work according to customer order and expectations. Create and maintain a good relationship with customers and understand their needs. Identify new sales opportunities and communicate them internally. Coordinate, prepare and ensure that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for Service activities. Proactively identify potential equipment failures and request proactive corrective actions. Troubleshoot equipment failure and make recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future. Proactively identify suggestions for product and quality improvement and communicate them further in the Accelleron organization. Provide recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service. Apply safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities. Report unsafe practices and incidents.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have 7 years of experience in each of the following:
Providing technical support for power plants, marine vessels, and offshore outposts
Performing general and advanced balancing, including thermal balancing
Creating, accessing and reviewing failure reports
Performing non-destructive testing
Utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to document work orders, manage inventory, and coordinate field service activities
Providing technical support for turbocharging systems in industrial settings, including direct interaction with customers to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
Leading LMRA reviews detailing lifting and rigging operations in complex work environments, including oversight of multiple crews and adherence to safety standards and technical procedures
Performing advanced rigging
Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally 60% working time
Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
