Job Description
Summary: The DeLong Co., Inc. is looking for experienced candidates for the position of Recruiter. The role involves overseeing the recruitment process, maintaining employee records, and providing support to the HR team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the fill-cycle recruitment process, including posting job opening through various avenues, sourcing candidates, scheduling, conducting and coordinating interviews with hiring managers and assisting in placing candidates
- Responsible for preparing and maintaining employee records and files, including new hire documentation, employee relations communications, DOT compliance files, and other various HR related documents
- Responsible for new hire orientation and coordinate with location managers accordingly
- Support HR team in handling HR-related queries, maintaining confidentiality, and dealing with sensitive information
- Responsible for the development and execution of recruitment strategies
- Respond to employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and other HR functions
- Support HR in administering benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management
- Prepare and maintain HR-related documentation, such as offer letters, contracts, and performance reviews
- Assist in employee performance management processes, including tracking performance reviews and feedback
- Assist with payroll processing by ensuring all timesheets and attendance records are accurate
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in compliance with privacy policies
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed (e.g., scheduling meetings, preparing reports, managing HR correspondence)
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience in full-cycle recruiting
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a recruiter, talent acquisition specialist, or similar role (1-3 years preferred)
- Strong understanding of recruitment techniques, sourcing methods, and interviewing strategies
- Experience recruiting for a variety of positions (e.g., entry-level, technical, executive)
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
