Job Description
Summary: SunSource is one of North America’s leading value-add industrial distribution companies, providing customers with products and solutions within Fluid Power and General Industrial Components. They are seeking individuals to join their Grow Our Own Sales Training Program, focusing on applying and selling hydraulic and pneumatic solutions for mobile equipment in industries such as agriculture and construction.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in a structured rotational development program within Fluid Power
- Learn SunSource products and systems used in Heavy Duty Mobile Equipment
- Receive hands-on exposure to complete systems solutions
- Learn SunSource’s sales methodology
- Prospecting and territory planning
- Account and relationship management
- Negotiation fundamentals
- Customer problem-solving strategies
- In-depth technical product training on components and systems for the Mobile Equipment Industry
- Exposure to multiple departments, including Applications Engineering, Design Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, Repair & Operations
- Sales and customer service training
- Continuous mentorship and support
- High visibility to senior leadership
- Clear and defined career growth path
- Spend 2–3 months in the field working alongside experienced Account Managers
- Learn how to develop new business and solve real customer challenges
- Manage own territory as an Account Manager after successful completion of the GO2 program
Required Qualifications:
- Desire to build a career in industrial sales
- Demonstrated technical aptitude with mechanical and/or electrical principles
- Clear and concise communication, presentation, and phone skills
- Professional business etiquette
- Entrepreneurial mindset with resilience and drive
- Willingness and ability to relocate for 18 months to Savage, MN
- Currently positions are planned for Ohio, Michigan and Indiana
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Agribusiness, or related field
- Associates degree from a Fluid Power–specific program
- 1–2 years of related experience or internship and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
