Job Description
Summary: Samaritan's Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. They are seeking a Seasonal HR Associate to recruit, interview, and hire individuals for the Operation Christmas Child processing center, while also providing administrative support and ensuring a positive employee experience during the seasonal project.
Responsibilities:
- Build a ministry aligned team to serve in the OCC processing center and take the love of Jesus to children around the world
- Recruit, interview, and hire individuals for specific processing center roles
- Build gospel partnerships with churches and like-minded organizations to create a pipeline of ready-to-hire candidates
- Provide administrative support in screening candidates
- Ensure an excellent employee experience for all associate staff during OCC processing season
- Guide seasonal associates through the onboarding process
- Ensure accurate completion of I-9 forms for all new hires
- Review, validate and submit seasonal associate time records throughout the Operation Christmas Child project to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Complete quality control checklists for seasonal candidates
- Work with the Human Resources Support Project Supervisor to meet compliance guidelines
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of OCC seasonal staff as needed
Required Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age
- Eager to learn
- Heart to serve in a hands-on ministry
- Attention to detail and an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Competency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in handling phone calls and engaging in effective verbal communication
- Self-motivated and excellent work ethic
- Ability to follow structured processes and keep accurate records
- Ability to learn quickly and work well in a team environment
- High level of discernment
