Summary: Philo Homes is an innovative early-stage startup transforming interior design with AI-powered one-click style generation and integrated premium furniture shopping capabilities. They are seeking a Software Engineer Intern to assist in iOS app development, focusing on both frontend and backend tasks while collaborating with various teams to enhance user experiences. Responsibilities: - Frontend Development - Develop and iterate on core features of our app using Swift / SwiftUI / React / React Native - Collaborate with product, design, and AI teams to build intuitive user experiences - Optimize app performance, stability, and usability - Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making (based on experience) - Backend / Full-Stack Development - Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs - Support integrations with AI models, design data, user, and order systems - Contribute to database design, system performance optimization, and security - Work closely with frontend engineers to ship features quickly Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (BS / MS / PhD) - Experience with at least one of the following: Frontend: Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, React, React Native; Backend: Node.js, Python, TypeScript, Java, Go, FastAPI - Strong interest in building real-world products from 0 to 1 - Solid coding habits and understanding of software engineering fundamentals - Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment - Proficient in both Chinese and English Preferred Qualifications: - Experience building and shipping apps or web systems - Exposure to AI, 3D, computer vision, or recommendation systems - Previous experience at a startup or early-stage company - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Firebase, etc.) Required Skills: Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, React, React Native, Node.js, Python, TypeScript, Java, Go, FastAPI, Chinese language proficiency, English language proficiency
