Business Solutions Developer I

Summary: Centene Corporation is transforming the health of communities, aiming to improve the lives of 28 million members. They are seeking a Business Solutions Developer I to plan, conceptualize, configure, and build technological solutions that address business challenges, while collaborating with various teams and stakeholders throughout the development process. Responsibilities: - Plans, conceptualizes, configures, and builds solutions that solve common challenges within the business by using technological tools or programs - Conducts research and requirement gathering to determine customer needs and drive strategy and oversee the development process - A cross-functional role that encompasses a broad range of business knowledge and technical skillsets, working in collaboration with multiple teams and specialists - Takes an active role in design, development, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance - Writing code for software programs and applications using inheritance and virtualization following best programming practices - Performs complex research and analysis to find best solutions to stakeholder requests or problems using best method or tools to develop solutions - Conducts meetings to gather requirements and updates on ongoing projects - Maintains communication with stakeholders during solution development - Collaborating with peers on development and solution strategy to identify the most efficient and effective product solutions - Performs regular code reviews and requests - Performs other duties as assigned - Complies with all policies and standards Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field, or equivalent experience - 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area - Completion of a technical training program (e.g. LaunchCode, FDM, etc.) may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree - Basic understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies - Comfortable working in a cloud-based tech environment - Solid SQL and frameworks skills - Experience with SQL, SSIS or SSRS Preferred Qualifications: - Healthcare experience a plus Required Skills: Programming, Inheritance, Virtualization, Agile methodologies, Scrum, Cloud computing, SQL, SSIS, SSRS Benefits: Health insurance, 401K, Stock purchase plans, Tuition reimbursement, Paid time off plus holidays, Flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules
