Job Description
Summary: CB&I is a leading professional solutions firm specializing in environmental and infrastructure solutions. The Junior Electrical Engineer will support Decontamination and Decommissioning efforts at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, working closely with various teams to develop work procedures and plans for radiological work activities.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and authoring technical work documents and facility electrical deactivation plans for the company's specialized workforce to safely and efficiently perform radiological and other hazardous remediation
- Participating in work scoping to understand site conditions, work to be performed, and end state
- Participating in developing project schedules
- Developing technical specifications for subcontracted work
- Developing facility characterization plans
- Must be aware of federal, state and local safety laws to ensure the organization complies with all current safety regulations
- Developing Project Closeout and Release Reports
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Science is required
- 0-4 years of experience in Nuclear, Construction, Demolition or Remediation fields
- US Citizenship is required: no dual citizenship
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptation to culture focusing on Safety and Health
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Level L Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain radiological qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program experience is preferred but not required
- Radiological, environmental and electrical engineering experience is preferred
- AutoCAD Inventor experience is preferred
